Outstandind Chinese carved cinnabar floral necklace in black and red strung on silk macrame' with long double tassel. The black could be ebony also - I tried to look up antique cinnabar and discovered it was first carved into objects in 1630. It is most commonly seen in red but black was also used in ancient times as well as with ebony and exotic woods. It has an iris and leaf design on both sides and the silk feels incredible to the touch. Mint like new pristine condition. Measures 34 inches plus the pendant which is about 2 x 1 5/8" plus the double tassel which is another 4 1/2 inches.
